Erasmus+ "WOM-EMP" project

  • To promote equal opportunities and awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity, through increased participation in sport activities, and equal access to sport for all;
  • To improve the key competences of professionals and volunteers of the partner organizations and other stakeholders, who wish to train, prepare and manage sports activities, increasing women’s participation, achieving gender equality and eliminating gender stereotypes, with a focus on developing mentoring skills;
  • Promoting women’s participation in sport activities as a tool for developing their transversal competences, soft skills and skills for employability, such as communication, negotiation skills and leadership, all of which are essential to women’s empowerment;
  • To promote connections and good practices exchange between organizations in the field of sport, interested in the promotion of women’s participation, improving gender equity;
  • To create a network of organizations from four countries, promoting training, preparation and management of professionals and volunteers in the field of sports, both locally, nationally and internationally.

Empowered Nation – ENAcT

  • Search for long term and sustainable strategic plans to enforce a gender balanced sport society at all levels, starting to work now with current EUSA athletes and volunteers;
  • Supporting women through non-formal education and engaging them to the European sport sector;
  • Foster international cooperation and sharing good practices in university sport at different sport organization levels for gender balanced leadership;
  • Fighting against the lack of access and opportunities at higher levels in sport for women.

Besides infrastructure, sports programmes for women and girls have shown to require organisational structure as well. Sports programmes that assure women and girls active board membership in leading positions, equity, financial means, participation in decision-making and strategic planning are likely to be more successful in producing lasting change in the self-perception and self-confidence of female participants in such programmes.

ALL IN: Towards gender balance in sport

Its aim is to provide support to public authorities and sport organisations when designing and implementing policies and programmes addressing gender inequalities in sport, and when adopting a gender mainstreaming strategy.

Sport for Generation Equality Initiative

  • Promote women’s leadership and gender equality in governance models;
  • Prevent and respond to gender-based violence;
  • Undertake to close the gap in investment in women’s sport and promote equal economic opportunities for women and girls;
  • Promote women’s equal participation and bias free representation in media;
  • Provide equal opportunities for girls in sports, physical activity and physical education.

IFLIPP: Innovating Football Leadership: Inclusion through Policy and Practice

  • Erasmus+ project Application 2019-2022;
  • 2019-2022;
  • This project is an initiative by the FARE NETWORK to strengthen Gender Equality and Inclusion of Ethnic Minorities in Football in Europe, with a voice at the table, in positions of leadership and being visible will create a more equal society;
  • By building capacities and removing barriers for women and ethnic minorities to thrive as leaders in professional football, this project seeks to address one of the most exclusivist, and therefore out-of-date, sectors in European Society Today: FOOTBALL;
  • How? Through roundtables, where main issues could be discussed in a deeper manner, in order to identify main issues and create a roadmap to afford them in the future.

PaSS: Actioning Social Sports

  • With the Support of European Union;

  • This is the 4th refugee project, however, this is our first refugee project that seeks to reach specifically women, migrant women and also, families. It will continue the success of the past projects: All In: All Football, Include me and I will understand and Play Football Live Football;
  • Creation of 13 Football Inclusive Hubs;
  • Communities, Clubs and Networks;
  • Target group: Migrant women + families;
  • Objectives: to create family football leagues and mixed gender, ability, age, race, teams in the 13 regions Malta and Gozo as per electoral districts.
